LYON V BAYERN MUNICH - Click here to bet

Lyon beat Manchester City 3-1 in the Quarter-Finals and that result came after seeing off Juventus on away goals in the last 16. Their record in the Group Stages wasn’t that impressive and they tasted defeat twice, both times on the road and although they were good against Manchester City in the Quarter-Final they are now playing the Tournament favourites who are in rampant form.

Bayern Munich have won all of their European matches this season and they thrashed fellow giants, Barcelona 8-2 in their Quarter-Final. Prior to that they had beaten Chelsea 4-1 to rack up a 7-1 aggregate victory. Bayern have scored at least 3 goals in their last 5 European matches and in 8 of their 9 European matches this season.

There is no recent head-to-head form between these sides and they last met in the 2009/2010 season with Munich winning both fixtures.

Betting:

Lyon 10/1

Draw 23/4

Bayern Munich 2/9

Suggested Bet: Goals away team 3 or more at 7/10

As mentioned above this bet would have arrived in 8 out of Bayern Munich’s 9 European matches this season and although we were on at a bigger price in the Quarter-Final they certainly delivered for us there in no uncertain terms.

Lyon are a good side that may just be a bit underrated by the bookies, but they are playing against a side that looks a cut above anything else in this competition and I am happy to take a 70% return on investment that Bayern notch up at least 3 goals.
