Not getting too involved @ Fairview today:

Race 1 - Daffodil Delight @ 13/20 looks hard to beat. Stablemate Rock Me Mama ran behind a very good sort last time out and is the obvious danger. Watch the betting on first timers. Marchland (12/1) might be a nice horse for swingers if sneaking into 3rd.

Race 3 - Open race with two Western Cape horses the top two in the betting by far. I will chance with Khichdi, who found a place last time out over 1400m, for a top 4 @ 13/10.

Race 4 - Truly Magical @ 19/10 looks a cracking bet. She arrives here from the strongest maiden formline in Gauteng behind Splittheeights and shoulders only 55.5kgs today. Swingers with Jazz Away, who nearly won on the poly on local debut last time out. Should easily place if she repeats that run on turf.

Turffontein Saturday, many of the early races have cut up badly in terms of field size and struggling to find much later on. Will have an interest in The Last Duke in R7. Very lightly raced and a great effort to win last time out returning from a break. Up 6 points but still could be some blue sky in that rating, drawn 9 which should be favourable. You can make a case for a few others but will stick with this, currently around 11/2 
 

Like you highlighted Chris , some small early fields due all the scratchings , however in Race 1 I'm going balls deep on Rachel Vinneker on Onceinabluemoon .
