Race 1. Alacritas was heavily supported first time out and managed a running on 5th , this 1200m should suit and I make hime the horse to beat even though he's now trading at 8/10. Plenty money for the first timer Higher Purpose now 18/10.
I'm so Kool could run into the places at 3/1 first 4 as the stable is in decent nick.
Race 2. My first choice is Kinskeys Tune but the stable is an obvious worry, 5/2 .
Race 3. Justin Snaith's yard has been a little out of sorts in Durban and here they have an even money favorite, can win but I'll look at Never Ending Love 33/1 and 3/1 first 4 and Constantia at similar odds.
Race 4. Rex Union , evens, is beautifully bred . The stable enjoyed a few winners yesterday and should be right there , respect also for Chebaca 28/10 and Saipan at 25/1 and 2/1a place first 4.
Race 5. Kannemeyer has another good looking sort in this one , should be right there at 22/10 but I make Irish Wonder Girl the one to beat at 5/2.
Race 6. Tough race , In Auro 8/1, G wager at 7/2 and Dinetto 11/1.
Race 7. Going to try and beat Grand Maestro but he does have the form it seems. Rocky Coast 6/1 and Burnt Rock 40/1 and 4/1 a place first 4.
Race 8. Truly Wicked is my top selection here 9/1 and 2/1 a place first 3, Maa Nanu next best at similar odds.
Race 9. Final race , Bright Flame is a seven time winner from Kimberly and must be ready as Marcus is up, huge respect as he should like the poly at 3/1.
Very open after that , maybe Charlie Fox 15/1 2/1 a place first 4 and Concealed Secret 33/1 and 5/1 a place first 4.
Play Well

Race 1. Money for the Azzie first timer Because I can who is trading at 5/2, Tarry stable badly out of form but Se Island has an easy opportunity here and is ridden by a top work jockey . !5/10 might be a little tight due the stables woes. Horrible race and will be watching from the stands.
Race 2. Gimmethegoahead has been well cacked into 9/10, comes from a strong formline but I can't have a Soma at odds on. Captain Cupid at 12/1 , first timer but stable hot atm, Red Bishop at 25/1 might improve some..
Race 3. Fresh from the US showed huge improvement with blinkers last time, needs to confirm for me. Untamed Tiger pulled like a dentist last two and blinkers get removed , Stroydem the master of front running tactics and is narrow first choice at 3/1.
Race 4. Small field with Sukky de Kok's only runner odds on. Preference for the Gypsy King though at 18/10.
Race 5. Tricky Business improved with the blinkers, will view on the way to start , really like Maroun's Penny at 9/1, feel like it has plenty to come after last two runs finishing behind stable mate Cappela Magna.
Race 6. Nabella one of my better bets of the day, hoping to get 18/10.
Race 7. Gold Griffin my second best of the day , worrying he's losing so many lengths at the start ... 5/1.
Race 8. March to Glory a big outsider, but was ridden badly last time out and should strip fitter 18/1 , What a Story at 7/1 also a fancy.
Play well

Race 1. Fire Alley beaten by a long shot last time but at odds on and with the Bass stable not the most consistent nowadays I'll be looking elsewhere. Big Thinker ran a great race last time at 10/1 and GreenlightFlash my other at 6/1.
Race 2. Salvatori Mundi does look the one to beat and is a confident choice at 11/10. No more Mr niceguy the danger. at 12/1.
Race 3. Changed my mind, no bet .
Race 4 Im a Lady just from Sovereign Rose , tough race though ,
Race 5. Peaceful Day 16/1 and Chatuchak 20/1.
Race 6. What a winner 7/1 and Mister Vargus 5/1.
Race 7. Tough race, No laying Up appears to be the right one but price a bit short in what is competitiveI think Hoedspruite can improve plenty 10/1.
Race 8. Moon Rock has a postage stamp on his back, first choice at 33/10. Out of the Oridinary loves the soft and is next best at 16/1.
Play Well .

Vaal - Race 7 - Alex the Great @ 7/1 (WSB)
Last run course and distance was way above its rating. Beating some top sprinters in Gin Fizz and Naafer giving them all weight. Definitely worth ago at these odds
Fairview - Race 1 - Rose of Indya @ 14/1 (WSB)
Given by mate and if looks at Last run course and distance more than decent.
Greyville - Race 5 - War of Athena @ 11/2 (WSB)
Have followed this one since won maiden at big odds. Looks more than decent and with its turn of foot looks like could enjoy the Short Greyville run in.
Taken all 3 at big odds but mostly taken Places for just over 10/1
Lets hope we can get off to a good start tomorrow.
Enjoy

R6 Willow Express 20/1 ew, Sentbydestiny 40/1 ew. 2 big outsiders, i thought WE was a bit unlucky on July day, Tarry yard form a concern but too big a price for me. Sentbydestiny 1 i think also looks above average but has been a bit green still and will be better @ Greyville this time around, filly taking on boys but no harm at the price.
R7 Dharma 33/1. Out and out stayer, been primed for this race and coming to hand again.
R8 Cartel Captain 16/1. Looking to beat the more fancied runners and Drier yard hitting a purple patch.
R10 MG all the rage into evens, but will stick with Sleeping Single 10/1 ew from same yard, something not right last time, much better than that.
Will add picks for earlier in card later in week.

Race 1. Nexus been a model of consistency and is the one to beat despite the stable blowing hot n cold, however my first choice is going to be Cat Daddy at 13/1 and 28/10 a place first 3, also respect for Indy Go at 14/1 and 3/1 a place.
Race 2. Ultra Magnus is a worthy favourite but reverting to 1000m could prove a hurdle. Epis Dream will be low flying late on and is my place bet here at 22/10 first 4.
Race 3. Ecstatic Grren at 2/1 is my best bet on the card !!! Load up and fire !!
Race 4. Tough race and I'll be loading the exotics hoping for a result. Like Action Packed 25/1, Dandolo 12/1, Bold Horizen at 50/1.
Race 5. With KT and War of Athena !! 6/1, also like Netta 50/1.
Race 6. Tempting Fate a worthy fav and hard to beat , my first choice and second best of the day . South's Willow Express 16/1 and Portico 16/1.
Race 7. Going for the mare in this one , Factor Fifty 11/1 and Before Noon 20/1.
Race 8. Going for another Tarry horse here in Chimichuri Run at 11/2, would have been very confident but the stable has been a little sour of late.
Race 9. Will through in Sovereign Spirit into the mix, feel this is a decent horse who hasn't found his feet just yet, 22/1 and 28/10 a place.
Race 10. Running Brace weighted on the places at 10/1 and 11/10 first 4.
Enjoy the day lads , CT selection to follow.

Shenanigans .... Yes stable has been quiet, but class is forever..
Favourite should run a good race too.

These are my early thoughts and will update in the morning after seeing weather.
Race 1 - Liberty Hall @ 10/1 (WSB)
Looked a top sort earlier in career, running close to Got the Greenlight, and the last 3 come back runs have been impressive over me. Run behind Wild Coast was good and last run behind Infamous Fox also decent.Won on the poly before, yes awhile ago, but to me at 10/1 worth ago.
Race 3 - Ecstatic Green
Same as Coil, been following this one and hoping gets the stable flying for the day. Will be my banker in the bi-pot and PA. Biggest danger for me is Miracle Flight
Race 4 - MK's Pride @ 20/1
First win I thought was impressive, beating a De Kock stable fav, which came out to win next time. If Eric the Red and Pray for Rain fluff their lines from a wide draw, this one could pop up.
Race 5 - War of Athena @ 7/1
WOA is for me a top sort in the making, will take a power of beating and hopefully will get taken to the outside rail up the straight so runs straight.
Race 6 - Sentbydestiny @ 33/1 (GGG) & Crimson King @ 20/1
Like Souths selection here so will follow but my main bet is Crimson King.
First run was an impressive 3rd behind Rascallion, and 2nd was a win over 1500m beating another Vaughan Marshall hot fav, COntact Zone and from that formline been 3 more winners. Yes has some to find but think horse is on the up and worth ago at those odds.
Race 7 - Sunshine Silk @ 33/1
Carrying a manageable weight for me and we know see's out the distance.
Will post anything more in the morning.

Race 2 - Chief of State @ 17/1 (HWB)
Drawn at 1, and excellent JHB form.
Race 8 - Kasimir @ 3/1
I think this horse is a top sprinter and has been brought up for this race I think. Drawn wide but if true pace should mow them down I hope.
Race 9 - Do It Again
Race 10 - Kelpie @ 12/1
Enjoy the racing.
Weather cloudy and had a bit of rain earlier, but hopefully will hold off till after racing.

Race 1 - La Banquirre @ 22/1 & Marina @ 22/1
Both are first timers and stable confidence not high, but both are well bred, Marina been full sister to Marinesco and LB Full sister Mombela. Both who performed in the soft. If wait for near off time might get much bigger.
Race 2 - High Moon @ 20/1
Stable comments positive, and full brother to More Magic
Race 8 - Nevil Mu @ 10/1
Last win was super impressive and maybe see how Cloud Seeder does. But what Jumps out at me is the run behind Speed Machine who just won Sophmore Sprint. Was 4l behind giving him 3kg's. Now getting 4 Kg's with Appie and in the soft again. If you had to drop Speed Machine in here with 54kg's, sure would be shorter than 10/1
Will Post for JHB tomorrow if anything comes up.
Enjoy the Sunday

Kenilworth should be soft going again but no rain expected today.
Cape Town
Race 1. Respect for both of KT's fancies here as he has a knack of following good breeding and big prices in these baby races .
Race 2. Alpha Papa had a few chances early on and has now changed stables , around 12/1 I think and could go close if fit .
Race 3. Spiritual Wind debuted ok in soft going two runs back, could improve a little more 20/1 and 7/2 a place first 3.
Race 4. Northern Song should be the right one here though its a tough race 33/10.
Race 5. Sacha is beautifully bred , might need another few runs but weighting the places at evens first 3.
Race 7. Tambora gets a good appie up and has a light weight , my narrow first choice at 33/10.
Race 8. Good points Nevil Mu KT, will include him for sure, also like Baltimore Jack who returns after a long lay off but ran behind some decent sorts 16/1 and 4/1 a place first 3.
Joburg to come

Race 1. City Deep is a whoping 100/1 , needless to say first 3 at 12/1 is appealing , first choice though is Dawn of an Era at 17/10.
Race 2. Zimbaba all the rage, returns after a 9 month rest , stable a bit scratchy so will avoid though should win. Malvern could pick up the pieces at 7/1 and 11/10 first 3.
Race 6. I really like Just Kidding today, returns from a trip to Durban and if all is well should go really close 11/2 and 9/10 a place first 3.
Race 7. Open race , Category 4 has been super consistent , 13/1 and Lone Survivor at 11/1.
Race 8. Fireworks has been disappointing, third run after a rest and claims 1.5kg 8/1 , open race though.

For Jhb going for the following:
Race 1 - Cold Fusion @ 16/1
1st run after Gelding but dame has some Var so hoping for an improved run. Stable in form and well drawn. Like Coil I think Dawn of a new Era will be tough to beat
Race 2 - Will follow with Malvern, well drawn and racing fit.
Will post if I see anything else I like.
Enjoy the racing
