Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Thursday 6th February where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
Race 1
NAZARE was not disgraced when fourth against stronger over 1160m on the Standside course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. All three of his career victories have come on this course. He drops back in class and may be the one to side with.
PACIFIC has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. Muzi Yeni steps back into the saddle and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
IN THE ETHER finished 0.8 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 3.5kgs worse off at the weights and may battle to turn the form around. She is carded to race on 30 January 2025 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.
Race 2
KINSHIN SHA finished 2.1 lengths behind LONGSWORD last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has dropped to a competitive rating and may be the one to side with.
LONGSWORD showed good speed when winning his last start over 1160m on the Standside course. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The son of William Longsword is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
DONTSHOOTTHEBARMAN won a good race with 64kgs on his back last time. Raymond Danielson retains the ride and he is carded to carry 64kgs once again. The son of Visionaire is in a good space and should fight out the finish.
Race 3
GERBERA won a good race when shedding her maiden tag over 1600m on the Standside course last time. The daughter of One World should have no issues with the rise to 1800m. She takes on stronger, but looks to have ability and may be up to the task at hand.
DESTINY OF FIRE ran on strongly when winning her last start over 1600m on the Standside course. If seeing out the 1800m, she should pose a big threat to the top choice.
VISIONOFPEACE stayed on when third over 1600m on the Standside course. She jumps from pole position and must be included in all bets.
Race 4
TO THE RESCUE showed good guts and determination when winning his last start over 2400m on the Vaal Classic course. The son of Gimmethegreenlight tries the 3000m for the first time. He meets a similar line-up and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can follow up with another victory.
AFRAAD finished 1.5 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
ARLINGTON ACTION ran a fair race over a distance short of his best last time. He finished 4.05 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
Race 5
MK’S DREAMS is better than his last start in the Non-Black Type WSB Heritage Consolation. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He has finished third twice from as many starts over this C&D. If finding the form of his penultimate run, he should be involved at the finish.
PRESSONREGARDLESS finished 3.75 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
KING OF NUMBERS stayed on when third over this distance on the Standside course last time. He finished third in his only attempt on this course. From pole position, he should earn another cheque for his patrons.
Race 6
LAUGHING WILLIAM was an easy winner of his last start over this distance on the Vaal Classic course. He set the pace and found more where it matters most. He received a four-pound penalty for that victory. The son of William Longsword meets a similar field today and he can follow up with another victory.
AFTER HOURS finished 2.2 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
SOVEREIGNS CALL ran on powerfully when winning his last start over this distance on the Vaal Classic course. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his wide draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 7
SOLDIER’S EYE is better than her last two starts suggest. She has won twice and finished third once from five starts on this course. The daughter of Rabada has ability and if finding the form of her Listed Summer Pudding Handicap effort, it would not be a surprise to see her in the winner’s enclosure.
ANDI’S GIRL was running on when third over 1600m on the Standside course last time. She finished 0.7 lengths behind the top choice that day. She is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
CAPE LIGHTS stayed on when third over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time. She has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. She is likely to be switched off near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 8
ACCEPT COOKIES should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung outwards in the final 200m. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. It is encouraging that Gavin Lerena steps back into the saddle and she should go close.
QUASIKAT has not been beaten far in her post maiden efforts. The daughter of Quasillo will love the rise to 1450m and she is one of the leading contenders.
MOCHA MACAROON has produced two good runs since winning her maiden. She finished second in her only attempt over this C&D. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, she should earn a cheque
