The daughter of Vercingetorix is a progressive type and if all went well with her travels, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
THREE CHEERS is an unraced daughter of Soqrat from the Tara Laing stable with Chase Maujean in the saddle. She is related to four-time winner Wylie Riley. If not too green, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.
RACE 2
FIRST WISH showed good improvement when second over 1200m on this course. She should have finished closer to the winner as she hung inwards in the final 200m. The daughter of Master Of My Fate should love the rise to 1600m. She is drawn wide in barrier 12 but Richard Fourie is likely to use her early gate speed to get across without using up too much energy and she may be hard to peg back.
FUTURE STAR ran a fair race in her last start over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day suggests that she will love the rise to the mile. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
DUMISANI has consistent form lines to her credit. She is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. With her handy galloping mass of 54kgs, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

PEDRO was running on when second over 1400m on this course last time. He has won once and finished second once from three starts over this C&D. The son of Noble Tune takes a drop in class and from his good draw of four, he can go one better.

CATCH YOUR BREATH was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over this distance on the polytrack. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts on this course. With a bit of luck in running, she should give the males a run for their money.
RACE 4
THREE ROCKS’ last start in the Listed East Cape Breeders Stakes can be ignored as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. She has won five times and finished second once from seven starts on this course. Her previous form was good and if putting her best foot forward, she should notch up her eighth-career victory.
MISS GREENLIGHT won a good race in her last start over 1200m on the polytrack. She finished second in her penultimate run on this course. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is a solid back-up for the Alan Greeff stable.
GIMME’S LASSIE should have won her last start as the apprentice lost his irons at the 600m mark and she still finished a creditable third. Craig Zackey steps back into the saddle and she should be involved at the finish.
Race 5
GIMME’S LADDIE ran on strongly when winning his last start over 1400m on this course. He has won twice, finished second once and third five times from ten starts over this distance. The son of Gimmethegreenlight is in a good space and if getting away to a clean start, he can follow up with another victory.
FOREST SPY is a winner of his last two starts under Yuzae Ramzan. He has won once and finished second four times from six starts over this C&D. He takes a rise in class but is doing well and can notch up the hat-trick.
SIBERIAN STEEL finished 1.85 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. The son of What A Winter will be doing his best work at the finish.
Race 6
HOLOCENE should have finished closer to the winner in his local debut over 1000m. He had to be steadied at the 300m mark but the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The son of Heavenly Blue would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. With a bit of luck in running, he may be the one to cause the upset.
SON OF ZEUS set the pace over 1400m last time and stayed on to finish third. Two of his five career victories have come over this distance. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe.
MASKED VIGILANTE finished 0.5 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
RACE 7
KINGDUNDEE is lightly raced with top form lines to his credit. He won a good race over 1200m on this course last time. The son of The United States will love the step up to 1400m. He is drawn in pole position and should be the one to beat.
MAKAZOLE did not go on with the effort in the Grade 2 Durban Golden Horseshoe last time. His penultimate run when second in the Listed Hollywoodbets Sharks Gatecrasher Stakes was eye-catching. He is a horse with ability and from his good draw of four, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
MAURITIUS KESTREL ran a decent race when third in the Grade 3 Langerman last time. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. With a bit of luck in running, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
RACE 8
DUBAI HILLS stayed on when sixth over 1300m on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. The son of Flower Alley is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. He will love the rise to the mile and may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
NO PLACE LIKE HOME finished 0.25 lengths behind KINGDOM OF HEAVEN last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
KINGDOM OF HEAVEN won a game race in his last start over this distance on the Polytrack. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He is equally effective on the turf and with luck in running, he can follow up
