Brighton 1.55/1 Draw 28/10 Man United 1.55/1

Both these sides won their opening matches with Brighton coming away from Everton 3-0 to the good (Mitoma, Welbecck, Adingra) and a late debut goal for Zirkzee saw Man United home against Fulham, 1-0 at Old Trafford.

The Verdict:

Brighton bolstered their strike force by bringing in Georginio Rutter from Leeds this week and they have not been shy in spending a chunk of the war chest they have built up from big sales over the last couple of seasons. They could follow up against a United side who did just enough to beat Fulham but I'll look away from the match result for a bet.

Mitoma was excellent early last season before suffering with injury but he looked back to his best last weekend and I fancy he can get an assist here.

Bets: Player assists, Mitoma 1 or more at 7/2 with Betway

Palace 12/10 Draw 26/10 West Ham 2.15/1

Eze had a goal from a free kick controversially ruled out in their 2-1 defeat at Brentford on the opening weekend, a game where they were well below the sort of form they displayed at the end of last season.

West Ham also lost their opening match 2-1. They went down to Villa and never really hit anything like top gear although a number of their eye catching new season's came off the bench and perhaps could start this week.

The Verdict:

With defender Anderson reportedly set to join Fulham and significant interest in Guehi the transfer news at Palace will be worth monitoring in the run up to match day. Palace thrashed West Ham in this fixture last season but both these teams have plenty of scope for improvement on last week's displays and although the match result looks a tricky call I'll side with the draw.

Bets: Match result draw at 26/10 with Betway

Fulham 0.82/1 Draw 28/10 Leicester 32/10

Fulham started well but faded a bit in their 1-0 defeat away to Man United. They remain active in the transfer market and watch out for any new signings in time for this match.

Leicester were outplayed by Spurs in the first half of their opening match at the King Power on Monday night but they were only 1-0 down at the break and to their credit they clawed they way back to draw 1-1. Vardy, who had not been expected to play any part, started and scored the equalizer.

The Verdict:

I think there is better to come from Fulham and will go with them to score in both halves of football.

Bets: Fulham to score in both halves ? (yes) at 18/10 with BoyleSports

Man City 1 / 10 Draw 10/1 Ipswich 22/1

City began their defence of the title with a convincing 2-0 win at Chelsea. Halaand in the first half and Kovacic towards the end were on target and City were without Rodri Stones and Walker were on the bench and Foden played the second half and they were full value for the win.

Ipswich face the toughest of starts to the season. They went down 2-0 at home to Liverpool last weekend, threatening in the first half before Liverpool took control. They look set to bring in striker Broja from Chelsea on loan and whilst that would be a welcome addition it's their defence I would be most concerned about,

The Verdict:

The match result betting tells it's own story, no disrespect to Ipswich who had their moments last week but I fancy City to come out flying and score at least twice in the first half.

Bets: Home team 1st half goals over 1.5 at 1.27/1 with BoyleSports

Southampton 15/10 Draw 2.45/1 Forest 18/10

Southampton went down 1-0 at Newcastle on their return to the Premier League. Although their opponents were reduced to 10 men just before the half hour mark the Saints fell behind on the stroke of half time and although they dominated for long periods and had 19 shots there was to be no way back.

Chris Wood gave Forest a 23rd minute lead at home to Bournemouth last week, they held that advantage until the 86th minute when Bournemouth levelled and they had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

The Verdict:

Forest let things slip last week and I'm not sure what to make of Southampton given they played the bulk of their opener against 10 men.

With pace on both wings and a big centre forward in the shape of Wood I will side with Forest to score two or more goals.

Bets: Away team totals over 1.5 at 15/10 with Betway

Spurs 9/20 Draw 4/1 Everton 54/10

Pedro Porro gave Spurs the first half lead at Leicester on Monday night, they had numerous chances to add to their advantage but were far from clinical and they paid the price as Leicester squared things up in the second half and it finished 1-1.

Everton had Ashley Young sent off in the second half of their 3-0 home defeat to Brighton but after a bright start they were second best by the time of the red card.

The Verdict:

Spurs really missed a trick at Leicester whilst Everton's opening result offers little encouragement. Spurs still look to have plenty of attacking talent to get among the goals though and the home side to score 2-3 is my play.

Bets: Home team multi goals 2-3 at even money with Sportingbet

Aston Villa 34/10 Draw 2.95/1 Arsenal 15/20

Onana on debut gave Villa an early lead at West Ham last week, they conceded a penalty before half time but substitute Duran, who came on for Watkins, found what proved to be the winner on 79 minutes.

Havertz, assisted by Saka, gave Arsenal a 1-0 lead in the first half of last week's home fixture against Wolves and late in the game roles were reversed with the German assisting Saka to give the Gunners a comfortable 2-0 win.

The Verdict:

Arsenal suffered a rare league defeat on this ground last season and will be tested again but I fancy they will come out on top, albeit, only by a single goal margin.

Bets: Winning margin, Arsenal by 1 goal exactly at 31/10 with BoyleSports
