Germany's odds to win the tournament are 58/10 and they will go in with the following squad.

Goalkeepers: Oliver Baumann (Hoffenheim), Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich), Marc-Andre ter Stegen (Barcelona)

Defenders: Waldemar Anton (Stuttgart), Benjamin Henrichs (RB Leipzig), Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich), Robin Koch (Eintracht Frankfurt), Maximilian Mittelstadt (Stuttgart), David Raum (RB Leipzig), Antonio Rudiger (Real Madrid), Nico Schlotterbeck (Borussia Dortmund), Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen)

In terms of form Germany won in France (2-0) and at home to the Netherlands (2-1) in March this year and earlier this month they drew 0-0 with Ukraine and beat Greece 2-1.

In Euro 2020 Germany were in a tough group, they lost 1-0 to France, beat Portugal 4-2 and a 2-2 draw with Hungary saw them finish second. In the Round of 16 Germany lost 2-0 to England at Wembley.

Scotland

Scotland have never made it out of the group stage in a major finals and in the last Euro's they picked up just 1 point from their 3 matches. They lost 2-0 to Czech Republic first up then drew 0-0 with England at Wembley before a 3-1 loss to Croatia saw them bow out.

In the outright betting to win the tournament Scotland are trading at around 110/1. To qualify from Group A Scotland are 8/10 and they can be backed at 9/10 to be eliminated. Remember a top 2 finish sees you through but there are also 4 best third placed finisher spots available for the Round of 16.

Results from friendly internationals this year include a 4-0 defeat in the Netherlands and a 1-0 loss at home to Northern Ireland in March, Most recently Scotland beat Gibraltar 2-0 and played out a 2-2 draw with Finland.

Scotland Squad:

Goalkeepers: Zander Clark (Heart of Midlothian), Angus Gunn (Norwich City), Liam Kelly (Motherwell)

Defenders: Liam Cooper (Leeds United), Grant Hanley (Norwich City), Jack Hendry (Al-Ettifaq), Ross McCrorie (Bristol City), Scott McKenna (Nottingham Forest), Ryan Porteous (Watford), Anthony Ralston (Celtic), Andy Robertson (Liverpool), Greg Taylor (Celtic), Kieran Tierney (Arsenal)

Midfielders: Stuart Armstrong (Southampton), Ryan Christie (Bournemouth), Billy Gilmour (Brighton), Ryan Jack (unattached), John McGinn (Aston Villa), Callum McGregor (Celtic), Kenny McLean (Norwich City), Scott McTominay (Manchester United)

Forwards: Che Adams (Southampton), Tommy Conway (Bristol City), James Forrest (Celtic), Lawrence Shankland (Heart of Midlothian), Lewis Morgan (New York Red Bulls)

The Betting

Germany are trading at 3/10 to win the game with the draw at 48/10 and Scotland can be backed at around 89/10

A game of 3 goals or more is priced at 7/10 and it's 5/4 for both teams to score.

The Verdict:

A really tough task for Scotland to start with and I'm looking for an anytime goalscorer for my first play.

Kai Havertz scored in 2 of Germany's group matches in Euro 2020, he has had a terrific season with Arsenal and in a game where Germany should dominate possession there is a decent chance an opportunity will fall his way.

Bets: Anytime goalscorer Kai Havertz at 15/10 with BoyleSports
