RACE 1

THE LADY LOVE produced a promising debut effort over this C&D, two weeks ago. She raced from just off the pace, understandably was green in running but the manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should take a power of beating.

AADEHYA was unlucky not to have won last time as his pilot’s crop was struck from his hand at the 100m mark. The son of Vercingetorix drops to the 1000m and should the top choice fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ABOUND finished 3.25 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.

RACE 2

MARI MARIE stayed on when fourth over this distance on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Twice Over is having her first run for the in-form Sharon Kotzen stable and in this field, she can shed her maiden tag.

MEDITERANEANGODDES showed good speed over 1000m on this course last time, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Komesans Passion. The daughter of Great Britain tries the 1200m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should be hard to peg back.

PRINCIPESSA MIA finished 2.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result. The daughter of Pathfork may be at her best on this surface and is one of the leading contenders.

RACE 3

MIRACULOUS MAN‘S last two starts over 1000m have been good. He showed good speed over 1000m on the polytrack last time, but found one too good in the form of Captain Casanova. The cheekpieces seem to have done the trick on the son of Gimmethegreenlight and in this type of field, he may be the one to beat.

SIRNIHAALLONGSWORD finished 2.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.

WESTERN JACK jumped awkwardly when leaving the start last time, but stayed on to finish second. Richard Fourie retains the ride and if getting away to a clean start, he can earn a cheque for his patrons.

RACE 4

LAW COURT raced from a handy position over this distance on the polytrack last time, moved up well but was caught late by Downing Seven. The blinkers seem to have done the trick on the son of Ideal World. He meets the right field today and with luck in running, can shed his maiden tag.

RED CENTRE is better than her last start on the polytrack. She returns from a 12-week break which may have done her the world of good. She is a better horse on the turf and if not in need of the run, she should give the males a run for their money.

US OPEN is having his first run for the Kelly Mitchley stable. He has placed over this distance in the past. If settled into his new surroundings, he can show improvement.

RACE 5

ELUSIVE JUSTICE got going late when fourth over 1300m on the polytrack, in his local debut. The son of Elusive Fort would have come on from the run and will love the rise to 1600m. Muzi Yeni steps into the saddle and from his handy draw of four, he may be the one to side with.

RAGSAA has shown good improvement in her last two starts over this distance. Richard Fourie steps into the saddle and if not too far out of her ground turning for home, she can go one better.

PISCES ran a good race when third over 1300m on the polytrack last time. He tries the mile for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should give his older rivals a run for their money.

Race 6

AMERICAN LANDING stayed on when third over 2200m on the polytrack last time. He won a good race in the Listed Glenlair Trophy in his penultimate start over 2800m. The 8yo gelding has no stamina issues and from pole position, can notch up his seventh career victory.

JAEGER MOON finished 4.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is only 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

HEATHCLIFF has good consistent form lines to his credit. He got going too late when third in the Listed WSB East Cape Derby last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. If seeing out the 2700m, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

RACE 7

AND WE DANCED has top consistent form lines to her name. She returns from a well-deserved 15-week break which would have done her the world of good. She has won three times and finished second twice from as many starts over this C&D. If not in need of the run, she should make a winning return.

SANTA THERESE moved up well over 2000m on this course last time, but was caught in the shadow of the post by First Street. She has won three times, finished second three times and third once from as many starts over this C&D. The 5yo mare always gives of her best and merits healthy respect.

BELLE OF BELIZE finished 1.25 lengths behind TWICE TO HEAVEN last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

RACE 8

SAINT ANASTASIA showed good signs of a form return in her last start over this distance on the polytrack. The manner in which she ran on at the business end that day was encouraging. The daughter of Master Of My Fate has cracked a good draw of four and if confirming her recent improvement, she may be the one to beat.

COLORAMA should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung in the closing stages. She steps up to the mile and if not in need of this run, she should throw out a challenge to the top choice.

MY AMI BEACH finished 1.65 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

Race 9

THE WINTER LAKE followed up his maiden victory with a fair sixth-place finish over this distance in the Listed Dahlia Plate. It must be noted that Luna Halo has come out and won again since. The son of What A Winter is at his best on this surface. He makes his Handicap debut, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

ANGEL DEB‘S has some good recent form lines to her credit. She has won twice and finished second twice from five starts over this C&D. She takes a drop-in class and despite her big mass of 61.5kgs, she should be hard to peg back.

COOL WINTER ran a good race when second in his local debut over 1000m on the polytrack. He showed good speed and stayed on at the business end. He would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter
