Magic Tips Best Bet

Race 1: MARADIVA (1)
Jockey: J P v’d Merwe – Trainer: G Smith

MARADIVA has decent recent form lines to his credit. He showed good pace over this distance last time and stayed on to finish second. He has finished second once and third once from as many starts on this course. The son of Twice Over meets the right field and he may be rewarded for consistency.

Race 3: RHYTHM OF THE RA (1)
Jockey: R Fourie – Trainer: A Greeff

RHYTHM OF THE RAIN moved up like a winner in her last start over this distance on the polytrack, but cost herself by hanging in the closing stages. She finished second in her only attempt on this course. Richard Fourie takes the ride and if able to keep her on a straight line, she should go one better.

Race 8: RED BERRY (6)
Jockey: S Khumalo – Trainer: A Greeff

RED BERRY was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over 1200m on the polytrack. Two of her four career victories have come on this course. She is at her best over further, but is in a good space and with S’manga Khumalo retaining the ride, she can follow up.

Race 9: HOLLY’S VIEW (3)
Jockey: F Fourie – Trainer: A Greeff

HOLLY‘S VIEW is lightly raced with good form to her credit. She should have finished closer in the Listed Lady’s Slipper Stakes last time as she was unbalanced at the 150m mark. The daughter of Global View won on debut over this C&D. She would have strengthened up in her time off the track and in this line-up, she should take a power of beating.

Value Bet For Today

Race 6: USHUAIA (2)
Jockey: R Fourie – Trainer: A Greeff

USHUAIA may not have enjoyed the polytrack in his last start over 1600m. His penultimate run when finishing second over 1200m on this course, catches the eye. He gets the blinkers fitted which should keep his mind on the task at hand. He is likely to get a good run in transit from pole position and may be the one to side with
