Winning Form Best Bet

Race 1: WALKER BAY (1)
Race 2: LUNAR BALLADE (1)
Race 3: LORD OF LIGHT (4)
Race 4: RARATONGA ROSE (4)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: WALKER BAY (1)
Jockey: R Simons – Trainer: R Magner

WALKER BAY produced three good efforts in Zimbabwe. He returns from a 13-week break, during which time he was gelded. He does not meet the strongest field on his South African debut and if not in need of the run, he should be the one to beat.

Top Bet For Today

Race 4: RARATONGA ROSE (4)
Jockey: S Khumalo – Trainer: L Houdalakis

RARATONGA ROSE is the best bet on the programme. She was running on strongly when second over 1800m on this course last time. The daughter of Flower Alley will love the rise to 2000m. S’manga Khumalo retains the ride and the combination should go one better in this line-up.

Race 5: RAISEAHALLELUJAH (5)
Jockey: K de Melo – Trainer: C Dawson

AISEAHALLELUJAH has very good recent form lines to his credit. He was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 2400m on the Standside course. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He won a good race in his penultimate start over this C&D. Keagan de Melo steps back into the saddle and he can notch up the hat-trick.

Race 8: I AM GIANT (2)
Jockey: K Matsunyane – Trainer: Brett Crawford

I AM GIANT was ultra-impressive when winning on debut over this distance at the Vaal. He showed good speed, found another kick and won with a ton in hand. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The son of Querari takes on stronger, but he could be anything and should be up to the task at hand.

Value Bet For Today

Race 7: PRINCE OF FIRE (1)
Jockey: Keagan De Melo – Trainer: J van Vuuren

PRINCE OF FIRE was not disgraced when finishing 3.25 lengths behind Al Muthana in the Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Gold Challenge. He has won twice and finished third once from as many starts on this course. He has also won his only attempt over this distance. Stable jockey Keagan de Melo takes the ride and he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure
