Race 1

AFRICAN BEAT has good consistent form lines to her credit. She set the pace over 1600m last time, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Dual Agent. The daughter of Querari should love the drop to 1400m and from her handy draw of four, she should be rewarded for consistency.

BABY ON BOARD has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She received a bump leaving the start over this C&D last time, but raced from a handy position and stayed on to finish third. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

STEALTH ATTACK finished 1.2 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.

Race 2

PARIS RAIN ran on strongly when second over 1200m on this course. He should have won his penultimate start over 1600m on the turf as he hung in the closing stages. The son of Ideal World will be suited to the 1700m and from pole position, he can go one better.

MEDAL OF FREEDOM showed good improvement when fourth in his last start over 1400m on this course. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The son of Gimmethegreenlight should enjoy the rise to 1700m and with luck in running, he should go close.

KING OF SEVILLE finished 0.4 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

Race 3

IMPERSONATION hails from the visiting Lucky Houdalakis stable. She was slow into stride over 1800m last time, but the manner in which she ran on at the business end was encouraging. The daughter of Master Of My Fate finished third in her penultimate run over this distance. If suited to this surface, she should be the one to beat.

PIXIE IN LOVE was a tad disappointing in her last start over 1950m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville, against male company. She has finished second twice from as many starts over this C&D. She is back against her own sex and cannot be ignored.

MYTHICAL TUNE has decent consistent form lines to her credit. She finished third in her only attempt on this course, three runs ago. The daughter of Noble Tune is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.

Race 4

NATIONAL DREAM won a good race in his last start over this C&D. He quickened up well, took the lead at the 300m mark and won with a ton in hand. The son of Rafeef is in a good space and with Keagan de Melo retaining the ride, he can follow up.

ABSOLUTE VALUE hails from the visiting Fabian Habib stable. He ran a good race when third over 2400m at Turffontein last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He does have the early gate speed to overcome his wide draw without using up too much energy and he may be hard to peg back.

ARROW’S MARK finished 3.4 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. However, NATIONAL DREAM won easier than the official margin suggests and may still have the upper hand.

Race 5

MANIC MONDAY took on stronger company in her last start over 1800m on the turf. It must be noted that Rockie Reef has come out and won again since. Her post maiden run over this distance on the turf, catches the eye. The daughter of Elusive Fort takes a drop-in class and from her good draw of two, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

BAY BREEZE has consistent form lines to her credit. She has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this distance. She has cracked a good draw of three and is one of the leading contenders.

EYE CATCHING finished 0.15 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

Race 6

MAJORCA PALACE finished 0.9 lengths behind TRAFALGAR SQUARE last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line. He has won once, finished second once and third four times from nine starts over this C&D. He is having his peak run and can return to winning ways.

TRAFALGAR SQUARE’S last two starts over this C&D have been good. Keagan de Melo retains the ride and if keeping on a straight line, he should be hard to peg back.

ONE TOO MANY has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He has won twice and finished second once from eight starts over this C&D. Apprentice Siphesihle Hlengwa takes the 1.5kgs off his back and if not in need of the run, he should be involved.

Race 7

ICE STAR was her own worst enemy over 1160m last time as she over raced in the early stages. She would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. The daughter of William Longsword will love the drop to 1000m and if all went well with her travels, she should give her older rivals a run for their money.

CORNER CRUSADE showed signs of needing her comeback run over this C&D. It must be noted that Bright Star has come out and won again since. She has won once, finished second five times and third once from nine starts over this C&D. She will strip much fitter and should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

FAR HORIZON won a good race on debut over 1000m on the turf. The daughter of Horizon takes on stronger, but she could be anything and may be up to the task at hand.

Race 8

DIANI should have finished closer to the winner last time as he had to be steadied at the 300m mark. He has won twice from four starts on this course. The son of Ideal World should have no issues with the rise to 1700m. He takes a drop-in class and with luck in running, he should be the one to beat.

CAPTAIN ROCKET won a good race in his last start over this C&D. He raced from a handy position and found a good kick where it matters most. The son of Captain Of All meets a similar field and can follow up.

MR PIGALLE finished 3.2 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result
