Race 1

TEEREX produced a promising debut effort over 800m on this course. He showed good pace, but found one too good in the form of Sovereign Grant. The son of New Predator would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the horse to beat.

ALMOND BUTTER is an unraced son of Duke Of Marmalade from the Mike Miller yard and stable jockey Serino Moodley is booked to ride. He is related to three-time winner Eskimo Kisses. If not too green, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other first-timers.

ROMANCE IN ROME finished 1.1 lengths behind the top choice on debut. He raced from just off the pace and stayed on at the finish. The son of Danon Platina would have come on from the run and should enjoy the extra 200m on offer.

Race 2

ROCK N ROLL GIRL has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She raced from a handy position over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time, but found one too good in the form of Rugger Bugger. The daughter of Canford Cliffs is a progressive type and can go one better. She is carded to race on 16 December 2022 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

BRIGHT STAR has good recent form lines to her credit. She finished second in her only attempt over this distance. The daughter of Gold Standard will strip a much fitter horse today and she is one of the leading contenders.

SWISS PARADISE ran a fair race when fourth against male company in her last start over 1000m on this course. The daughter of What A Winter tries the 1200m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 3

KITTYBOYS GIRL has good recent form lines to her credit. She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung in the closing stages and was reported to be not striding out. She has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. If keeping on a straight line, she can shed her maiden tag.

TELIO ran a fair race in her last start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She gets the tongue-tie fitted for the first time which may do the trick. She is carded to race on 16 December 2022 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

STEALTH ATTACK’S last four starts have been decent. She makes her course debut and if suited to the track, she should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 4

MAXIUMUS was an easy winner of his last start over this distance on the Polytrack. He set the pace, found another kick and won well. He finished 0.45 lengths behind RALPH THE RASCAL in his penultimate run. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. If suited to this course, he can notch up his sixth career victory.

RALPH THE RASCAL has good recent form lines to his name. He finished third in his only attempt on this course. He is carded to race on 14 December 2022 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

CAPTAINOFTHEGREEN followed up his maiden victory with a good third-place finish over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. The son of Gimmethegreenlight is better suited to this distance. He does take a rise in class, but carries a handy galloping mass of 52kgs and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 5

HARLEY’S FATE may not have seen out the 1400m in her last start at Hollywoodbets Greyville. She takes another drop in the ratings and a drop in class. The daughter of Master Of My Fate won on debut over this C&D. She has plenty of scope and is capable of returning to winning ways.

WINTER JOURNEY has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. She set the pace over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time, but was caught in the shadow of the post by Meredith Grey. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces. She is carded to race on 14 December 2022 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

CAPRIANA won a good race in her last start on the Polytrack. She has won twice and finished third six times from ten starts over this distance. She is also carded to race on 14 December 2022.

Race 6

IRON WILL ran a good race when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He raced from a handy position, but found one too good in the form of Captain Casey. The son of Flower Alley returns to Handicap Company and from pole position, he should take a power of beating.

BANZAI PIPELINE stayed on when third over 2200m last time. He has won twice and finished third once from seven starts on this course. He has no issues with the drop to 1600m and merits healthy respect.

PARIS PIKE followed up his maiden victory with a decent second-place finish over 1950m on this course. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He carries a handy galloping mass of 55kgs and with a bit of luck in running, he should be right there. He is carded to race on 18 December 2022.

Race 7

BEND THE RULES was not disgraced when third in a Graduation Plate over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. The son of Noble Tune takes a drop back in class and he may be rewarded for consistency.

MANHATTEN CAFE stayed on when third over 1800m last time. He won his only attempt over this C&D. The son of Ashaawes takes a slight drop in class and with a bit of luck from his awkward draw of eight, he should pose a massive threat.

CAESURA was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over this distance on the Polytrack. He gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Siphesihle Hlengwa which will help his chances. The 7yo gelding will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Race 8

CORSICAN received a bump leaving the start over 1700m last time, but stayed on to finish second behind Paris Pike. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. The son of Eightfold Path may be at his best on this surface and from pole position, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

TRITON took the lead at the 400m mark over 1800m last time, but was caught in the shadow of the post by Majestic Warrior. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. The blinkers seem to have done the trick and he is capable of going one better.

ARVERNI KING finished 1.3 lengths behind the second choice last time. He should have finished closer that day as he had no luck in running. His wide draw of 13 is an obvious concern, but he should be involved in the fight to the finish
