GYPSY EXPRESS ran a fair race in her comeback run over this C&D. She would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. The daughter of What A Winter can feature in this line-up.
Race 2
DIAMOND ROCK stayed on when beaten just over a length over 1200m last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The son of Erupt will love the step up to 1400m. Aldo Domeyer steps back into the saddle and he is the horse to beat.
ZOOMIE has produced four decent efforts to date. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. If seeing out the 1400m, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
LINDBERGH ran a fair race in his last start over 1200m. He returns from a 13-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. The son of Lancaster Bomber will enjoy the extra furlong on offer and may have more to come.
Race 3
QUICK TRIP was a beaten odds-on favourite in her last start over 1000m on this course. Her penultimate run when second over 1200m catches the eye. The daughter of Trippi steps up to the 1400m and if putting her best foot forward, she can shed her maiden tag.
ROYALS raced from a handy position over this C&D last time, but was outrun late. She does have a wide draw to overcome, but gets the services of Keagan de Melo who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
MIRACLE IN MOTION is an unraced daughter of Vercingetorix from the Justin Snaith yard with Richard Fourie in the saddle. She is related to eight-time winner Running Brave. If not too green, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.
Race 4
ROD THE MOD finished 1.6 lengths behind BLUFF ON BLUFF last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The blinkers seem to have done the trick. He shows good speed in his races and may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.
ELUSIVE TRADER finished 0.85 lengths behind BLUFF ON BLUFF in the race referred to above. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should turn the form around. If jumping on terms, he should be competitive.
BLUFF ON BLUFF ran on powerfully when winning his last start over this C&D. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. Ashton Arries retains the ride and against similar company, he can follow up.
Race 5
SHE’S MY CAPTAIN showed good speed when winning her last start over this C&D. She received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Captain Of All takes a drop in class and she can notch up her fourth career victory.
JURY DUTY has good recent form lines to her credit. She finished 1.55 lengths behind PORQUE TE VAS last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.
TUSCAN GOLD finished 1.25 lengths behind PORQUE TE VAS in the race referred to above. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today. He shows good speed in his races and may be hard to peg back.
Race 6
QUEEN OF SPARTA tried hard in her last start over 1400m on this course and finished under a length behind the winner. The drop to 1200m should not pose an issue. She meets a similar field this afternoon and can return to winning ways.
BONIKA finished 1.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. She has won twice and finished third once from four starts over this C&D. The daughter of Jackson will be mowing down the frontrunners.
ALLENDE produced a typical second run after a rest last time. Her penultimate run when second over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville was encouraging. She will be at peak fitness and should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

He has won once and finished third once from four starts over this C&D. With a bit of luck from his awkward draw of nine, he can return to winning ways.
SILENT TRIGGER finished 0.05 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.
