Race 1

HEIRLOOM hails from the visiting Robyn Klaasen yard. She has produced four good efforts to date. The manner in which she finishes off her races suggests that she will love the extra furlong on offer. If all went well with her travels, she is capable of shedding her maiden tag.

ET BUND has fair form lines to his name. He is a horse that may be at his best over further, but he is the stable elect and can earn another cheque for his patrons.

HELSINKI is an unraced son of What A Winter from the Paul Lafferty stable with Keagan de Melo in the saddle. He is related to multiple winners including Magical Java and Maitland Magic. If not too green, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other first timers.

Race 2

LADY TIPTREE finished 1 length behind SOUTHERN CAPE last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line. She has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this distance. The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade will strip much fitter and she may be the one to side with.

SOUTHERN CAPE won a game race in her last start over 1400m on this course. She has won twice, finished second twice and third once from eight starts over this distance. Keagan de Melo retains the ride and the pair merit healthy respect.

ONLY HEARTS stayed on at the finish when 2.95 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is having her peak run and will be cherry-ripe. From pole position, she should be involved in the fight at the finish.

Race 3

This is a weak Maiden Plate for the girls and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is TASTE MAKER from the Duncan Howells stable. She set the pace over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Greyville turf track last time and she stayed on to finish third. The daughter of Flower Alley meets the right field and Sean Veale may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

LADY OF THE SWORD is an unraced daughter of Silvano from the Alyson Wright stable with Keagan de Melo in the saddle. She is related to four-time winner Sugar Mountain. If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.

SPRING KISS ran a fair race in her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. If settled into her new surroundings, she should give a good account of herself.

Race 4

NOBLE SNIPER showed speed over 1200m last time, but did not go on with the effort. He finished 1.55 lengths behind MR PIGALLE in his penultimate effort. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The son of Noble Tune will enjoy the rise to 1400m and he can return to winning ways.

MR PIGALLE has good consistent form lines to his credit. Three of his five career victories have come over this distance. The son of Jay Peg will be mowing down the frontrunners.

RALPH THE RASCAL finished 0.5 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line

Race 5

PATRONAGE has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. The son of Philanthropist takes a drop in class and over this distance, he will be mowing down the frontrunners. He is the stable elect with Rachel Venniker booked to ride.

INTREPID showed very good signs of a form return in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He was settled at the rear of the field and finished off his race strongly. If confirming his recent improvement, he should be one of the leading contenders.

LORD WYLIE finished 0.65 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line

Race 6

PRINCESS TEA should have finished closer to the winner in her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight has dropped to a competitive rating and with a bit of luck in running, she can return to winning ways.

BONNE BOUCHE should have won her last start as she shifted away from the crop in the closing stages. She would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. If keeping on a straight line, she may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.

PALM BREEZE finished 1.25 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

Race 7

IRON WILL fought hard for his last victory over C&D. He has won three times, finished second twice and third once from eight starts over this distance. The son of Flower Alley takes a drop in class and from his handy draw of five, he can follow up.

EXCEEDER finished 0.35 lengths behind MASTER TOBE last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

MASTER TOBE fought hard for his last victory over this C&D. The son of Master Of My Fate received the minimum two-pound penalty for that victory. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

Race 8

RICCARDO was a surprise winner in his last start over 1750m on this course. He was given a peach of a ride and got up where it matters most. The son of Mambo In Seattle should have no issues with the extra furlong on offer and he can follow up.

HEY BILL kept going well to win his last start over 1900m on the polytrack. He has won once and finished second once from three starts over this C&D. He takes a slight rise in class, but is one of the leading contenders

TOM BOMBADIL should have finished closer to the winner last time as he had to be switched for running room at the 300m mark. He drops back in distance and with a bit of luck, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest
