ORARARI GOLD produced an eye-catching debut effort over 1000m on the Classic course. She was green in running, but finished her race off well. The daughter of Oratorio would have come on from the run and will enjoy the extra 100m on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the horse to beat.
Race 3: QUERULOUS (9)
Jockey: JP V’d Merwe – Trainer: J van Vuuren
QUERULOUS has shown good improvement in each of her races to date. She got going too late when second over 1000m on the Classic course last time. She will enjoy the extra 100m on offer and will give the males a run for their money. She is carded to race on 02 June 2022 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.
Race 4: THYMETOSHINE (14)
Jockey: Gavin Lerena – Trainer: Brett Warren
THYMETOSHINE showed some promise on debut over 1160m at Turffontein. He raced from just off the pace and stayed on at the finish. The son of Pomodoro would have come on from the run and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

Jockey: G Lerena – Trainer: S Tarry
PLATINUM SKY is better than his last two starts in Grade 1 races. He returns from a short nine-week break, during which time he was gelded. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts on this course. He is the best weighted runner in this contest and if not in need of the run, he should go close to winning.

SEEMYVISION finished 2.1 lengths behind BEFORE THE DAWN last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Three of her six career victories have come over this C&D. She runs well for Brian Nyawo and can notch up her seventh career victory
