Race 1

SILVER SANCTUARY is an unraced daughter of Silvano from the Mike de Kock stable with JP van der Merwe in the saddle. She is related to Grade 1 winner, Safe Passage. She does not need to be a stable superstar to win in this type of field. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.

MOCHA MACAROON has improved in her last two starts over 1450m. She raced from a handy position last time and stayed on to finish second. The daughter of Rafeef should be the first raced runner past the post.

FAIRY CIRCLE is better than her last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss. Her penultimate run when second over 1000m on this course was encouraging. If putting her best foot forward, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 2

POCKET WATCH produced an encouraging debut effort over this C&D. He was slow into stride, but the manner in which he finished off his race was eye-catching. The son of Master Of My Fate would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.

EMPORIUM took on stronger in the Listed The Sharks Gatecrasher Stakes last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. His penultimate run when finishing second over 1160m at Turffontein was eye-catching. He returns to Maiden Company and is one of the leading contenders.

ANAMERICANINVENICE‘S last two starts have been fair. The son of Master Of My Fate will enjoy the step up to 1400m and can finish in the first three.

Race 3

VIVACIOUS VICKY has improved in his last two starts over 1000m. The son of Var is a progressive type and if seeing out the 1200m, he should be the one to beat in this line-up.

COUNT YOUR CHANCES has good recent form lines to her credit. She was slow into stride over 1600m at Turffontein last time, but stayed on at the finish. The drop to 1200m is a slight concern, but she is in a good space and cannot be ignored.

ANDI‘S GIRL ran a fair race on debut over 1160m at Turffontein. She should have finished closer to the winner that day as she lost two lengths leaving the start and her pilot dropped his crop at the 350m mark. The daughter of Fire Away would have come on from the run and should make the natural improvement.

Race 4

MIDNIGHT STROLL was in need of her debut effort over 1000m on the Classic course. She was green in running and hung in the closing stages. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Master Of My Fate would have gained from the experience and she should love the extra furlong on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the one to beat in this field.

WHIRLYBIRD showed some good improvement in her last start over 1000m on the Turffontein Inside course. She was slow into stride and finished off her race well. The daughter of Canford Cliffs will strip much fitter and may have more to come.

AZALEAS FOR ALL has produced two fair efforts to date. The slight concern is that she drops back to 1200m, but she has scope and can finish in the money.

Race 5

LITTLE MIZ SWAGGER showed very good improvement when second over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She was unlucky not to have won that day as she received a bump in the latter stages. The daughter of Twice Over will love the rise to the mile and with Gavin Lerena in the saddle, she should go one better.

INEVITABLE was a tad disappointing in her last start at Turffontein. Her penultimate run when finishing third over 1400m on this course was encouraging. She is best suited to this course and should pose a massive threat to the top choice.

COUNTESS DANZA stayed on at the finish when second over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Let’s Go Now. She runs well for Raymond Danielson and must be included in all bets.

Race 6

JORDAN produced a promising debut effort over 1450m on the Classic course. He set the pace that day, but was outrun late by Majestic Touch. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The son of Silvano would have gained from the experience and if seeing out the mile, he should take a power of beating.

HOLOCENE‘S last two starts with the blinkers fitted have been decent. He has plenty of scope and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

GEORGE HANDEL is lightly raced with some good form lines to his credit. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to the mile. He carries a handy galloping mass of 56kgs and should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 7

TIME FOR CHARITY won a game race in her last start over 1160m at Turffontein. She received a two-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Time Thief gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Siyanda Sosibo which will help her chances. She shows good speed in her races and may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.

SAMOA has good consistent form lines to her credit. She finished 0.25 lengths behind the top choice, four runs ago. She is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.

FORT LAUDERDALE ran a good race when third over this C&D last time. He moved up well that day, but was outrun late by After Hours. Piere Strydom does duty and the pair merit healthy respect.

Race 8

BOLD FORTUNE finished 3.75 lengths behind KWAZZI’S LADY last time. She is 6.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The daughter of Flower Alley continues to drop-in the ratings and on best form shown, she can return to winning ways.

SPECIAL CHARM finished 0.5 lengths behind KWAZZI’S LADY last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.

KWAZZI‘S LADY is a winner of her last two starts. She won her penultimate start over this distance. The daughter of Coup De Grace will be mowing down the

frontrunners and can notch up the hat-trick
