Dortmund

Dortmund were very much the underdogs for their semi final match up with PSG but they won both legs by a 1-0 scoreline. Niclas Fullkrug scored the only goal of the first leg on home soil and although PSG dominated possession and hit the woodwork 4 times in the return in Paris a goal from Hummels early in the second half saw Dortmund through.

In the group stage Dortmund were drawn along side PSG in the toughest of the quartets. They recovered from losing to PSG 2-0 away from home with a 0-0 draw at home to Milan and then 3 straight wins before a 1-1 draw at home to PSG on Matchday 6 saw them top the group.

In the Bundesliga Dortmund finished fifth in the standings and as Germany now has 5 qualifying spots their qualification for the UCL next season is already confirmed.

After Bayern took a 1-0 lead half way through the second half Joselu came off the bench on 81 minutes, squared things up on 88 minutes and found the winner in the first minute of injury time.

Real's quarter final match up with Manchester City went all the way to a penalty shoot out. The first leg in Madrid ended 3-3 with Real registering through Rodyrgo and Valverde plus a City own goal.
