This week, the PGA Tour travels out of the United States for the 2025 Mexico Open played on The Norman Signature Course at Vidanta Vallarta the host club for the fourth year in a row. We pick 4 players to take on the bookmakers.
The Course
Vidanta Vallarta is home to the Greg Norman-designed Signature course that opened in 2015. The course is known to have wide, generous fairways that leave space for errant shots, while the greens are large and undulating. Water comes into play on 14 of the 18 holes. Long hitters will be excited to unleash their power with the generous room for error on offer.
The winner this week will in all likelihood be long off the tee.

Akshay Bhatia 15.00
Rasmus Hojgaard 19.00
Kurt Kitayama 21.00
Patrick Rodgers 23.00
Samuel Stevens 23.00
Taylor Moore 26.00
Michael Kim 26.00
29.00 and better the balance
Selections:
Patrick Rodgers at 23.00
Rodgers is coming off the back of an impressive performance at last weeks Genesis Open. He led going into the last day and shot one-under to finish on -9 but unfortunately Aberg and McNealy had brilliant rounds to finish just ahead of him. Rodgers has finished in the top ten in every Mexico Open he has played in, three out of three, with his best finish coming at last years tournament where he finished sixth. After last weeks performance and an impressive record in Mexico, he definitely is someone to watch out for.
Suggested bet: Each way at 23.00.
Jake Knapp at 41.00
Knapp will be looking to defend his title as he heads to Mexico after winning the tournament by two shots last year for his first PGA Tour win. He had a solid week at the Genesis, finishing in 17th place with a number of the top players in the world. Knapp will use that momentum from last week to challenge again against a weaker field than what we saw last week.
Suggested bet: Each way at 41.00.
Michael Kim at 26.00.
Kim has put together two great back-to-back performances on the PGA Tour. He finished in second place at the Phoenix Open two weeks ago and followed that up with a thirteenth-place finish at the Genisis last week. Kim will be hoping to continue this momentum as he heads to Mexico and a course where he has not previously taken to and I am backing current form to prevail.
Suggested bet: Each way at 23.00
Carson Young at 76.00
Young is my rank outsider this week and I am basing it on course form as he hasn’t exactly been on fire of late with 2 missed cuts and 2 downfield finishes so far this year. The 30 year old American loves Mexico and this course though with an 8th place finish last year and in his debut the year before he finished 15th.
Suggested Bet: Each way at 76.00
