BettingDiaryLive cricket and golf are amongst the sporting highlights punters can bet on, on Thursday and we take a closer look in our Daily Diary.

CRICKET

South Africa are in action against Bangladesh in the ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup quarter-final and the hosts are the 8/10 favourites with Bangladesh on offer at 21/20. Based on what we have seen in this Tournament Bangladesh look big runners and we wouldn’t be surprised to see support for them as the start of the match looms.

Over in Australia it is the Big Bash Eliminator between Hobart Hurricanes and the Sydney Thunder with the Hurricanes 4/6 favourites and the Thunder trading at 5/4.

The Hobart Hurricanes last match was a high scoring 10 run win over the Adelaide Strikers where they set their opponents an imposing 218 to win.

Sydney Thunder are also coming off a victory in a rain shortened match against the Perth Scorchers.

The bet we fancy is the 1st innings score to be over 168.5 at current odds of 4/6.

GOLF

Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka are amongst the headline acts at the Saudi International, this weeks European Golf Event. In fact Patrick Reed is 3rd in the betting at 16/1 behind Koepka 12/1 and Johnson 8/1 meaning there is American dominance at the top of the betting boards.

South African, Erik van Rooyen hasn’t been in the best form of late, but he has shown signs that he could be ready to get back to winning ways and could warrant support at 50/1 for a win and 10/1 for a place

Over in the States it is the Waste Management Open and the in-form Jon Rahm is the 7/1 favourite with Justin Thomas 9/1 and Hideki Matsuyama 16/1 and you can get 20/1 and better the balance.

Bubba Watson is the man who plays some of his best golf at this track and he is attractively priced at 33/1 a win and 66/10 for a Top 5 finish.

TENNIS

It is Ladies Semi-Final day in Australia and Ashleigh Barty is a hotpot 3/10 favourite to make it through to the final against Sofia Kenin 23/10. In the other Semi, Simona Halep is 11/20 for the win against Garbine Muguruza who is 27/20. There are a host of Exotic Markets on each game and you can Click Here to bet on the Ladies Australian Open.

One of the Men’s Semi-Finals takes place on Thursday that is Roger Federer up against Novak Djokovic. Federer hasn’t been in his best form, but has somehow found a way to stay in the Tournament, but he is 5/1 to upset Djokovic who looks unstoppable and is priced at 1/8.

HORSE RACING

A reminder that the Sun Met takes place on Saturday and you can Click Here for all of the latest betting.

Thursday’s race meeting takes place at the Vaal Racetrack, an 8 race meeting starting at 12:40 with the final leg of the Pick Six due off at 16:40.

It is one of those cards where the Pick Six looks tricky as there are a number of decent favourites, but none of them very short prices and we fancy that following, Horse No. 8, Indy Go in Race 5 currently priced at 22/10 could be the answer as far as Pick Six bankers go.
