BettingDiaryRugby World Cup and Absa Premier League are amongst Tuesday’s betting highlights and we take a closer look in our Daily Diary.

RUGBY WORLD CUP

Russia make their second performance of the tournament, having lost to Japan in the opener, when they play against Samoa on Tuesday.

The Russians are expected to struggle against the hard hitting Samoans and the current handicap is Russian (+29.5), Samoa (-29.5) at 9/10 the pair. We have a preview up for this game in our blog and take a look at some of the anytime try scorer and 1st try scorer bets in the preview.

A quick look at the outright betting and New Zealand have shortened further to 11/10 with South Africa and England still joint second favourites at 9/2. The Irish are 17/2 and Wales are on the drift at 12/1 despite a fairly comfortable win over Georgia on Monday.

FOOTBALL

AmaZulu host Kaizer Chiefs in the PSL on Tuesday night and AmaZulu are 19/10, Chiefs 33/20 and the draw on offer at 39/20.

AmaZulu are currently rooted to the foot of the table with just 2 points in their 5 matches and they play against a Chiefs side which is 4th on the log, 3 points behind leaders Polokwane, but with a game in hand.

Last season this fixture was a 5 goal thriller with Chiefs edging it 3-2, but the year before that it finished in a goalless draw. We fancy Chiefs to get back to winning ways at a current price of 33/20.

There are also some big European Football Matches taking place on Tuesday night including the La Liga match between Barcelona and Villarreal and a Serie A match between Brescia and Juventus.

HORSERACING

Local horse racing takes place at the Turffontein Inside Track and it is a 9 race card getting going at 12h50 and scheduled to finish at 17h20.

Our first fancy on the card comes in Race 2 with Horse No. 14, Shadow Creek, currently priced at 9/10 and Pelican Bay, Horse No. 9 in the 8th Race could be a Pick Six banker for many at odds of even money.
