Race 1

CLIFFSCAPE showed good speed over this trip last time, but found one too good in the form of Ireland Forever. The daughter of Canford Cliffs is a progressive type and is back against her own sex. Aldo Domeyer is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

PLUMBAGO PARK understandably raced green on debut, but the manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The daughter of Rafeef would have gained from the experience and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, she should be competitive.

MERRYWEATHER finished 2.15 lengths behind the second selection on debut. She lost 2 lengths leaving the start that day, but stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight should make the natural progression.

Race 2

GEM KING raced in the Grade 2 Khaya Stables Diadem Stakes last time. He won a good race in his penultimate start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this distance. If jumping on terms, he can notch up his eighth-career victory.

THE ABDICATOR showed good speed when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time, but found one too good in the form of Tenango who has won again since. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ARCTIC WIZARD has good consistent form lines to his credit. He finished 0.2 lengths behind the top selection in his penultimate run. He is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

Race 3

WINTERONTHEGREEN showed some improvement when fifth over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. She stumbled leaving the start and was reported to have an over reach. The daughter of What A Winter is back in Maiden Company and with 56kgs to shoulder, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

CATCH A PENNY has good form lines to her credit. She raced from a handy position over 1400m last time, tried hard but found one too good in the form of Diamond Bomber. The wide draw is an obvious concern, but with luck in running she should be involved at the finish.

HOERIKWAGGO has produced two decent efforts to date. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in her last outing has come out and won since. The daughter of Canford Cliffs has scope and she cannot be ignored.

Race 4

MASTER BOMBER stayed on when third over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Lancaster Bomber will love the rise to 1600m. He will be at peak fitness for this outing and he is capable of winning this contest.

DUBBELOSIX has decent form lines to his credit. He raced from a handy position over this distance last time and stayed on at the finish. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. He will strip much fitter and is one of the leading contenders.

GREEN PLANET showed good speed over 1200m last time before getting outrun late. He steps up to 1600m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should be hard to peg back.

Race 5

BEAUTIFUL SIDE’S last two starts after returning from a 15-week break have been fair. The manner in which she finished off her last start suggests that she will love the rise to 1800m. The daughter of Vercingetorix is a progressive type and she may be the one to beat.

STRAWBERRY THIEF was unlucky not to have won her last start over this distance. She was held up for a run at the 200m mark and had no luck. The widest draw is the obvious concern and with luck in running, she should fight out the finish.

GREENLIGHT SKYE was running on when second over this distance last time. She jumps from pole position and if not too far out of her ground turning for home, she can go one better.

 

 

Race 6

PENTOLINA showed signs of a form return in her last start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. It must be noted that Give Me Everything has come out and won again since. She has won once and finished second once from three starts on this course. She will strip much fitter and with luck in running, she can return to winning ways.

JET TO THE SUN is better than her last start as she was reported to be changing strides in running. She has won once, finished second three times and third once from as many starts on this course. On best form shown, she should pose a massive threat.

ROYAL INVITATION ran a fair race when third over this distance last time. She has finished second twice and third twice from as many starts on this course. If not in need of the run, she should run into the money.

Race 7

LUCY ROCKET was running on when third over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. It must be noted that First Masterpiece has come out and won again since. She drops down to Class 5 Company and may be the one to side with.

TRY ME won a good race in her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. Keanen Steyn retains the ride and the combination can follow up with another victory.

OVER THE ATLANTIC finished 1.65 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

Race 8

FIRINGONALLENGINES set the pace over 1400m last time, but tired late to finish fourth. It must be noted that Legal Counsel has come out and won again since. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. He is likely to race on the speed from his awkward draw of eight and may be hard to peg back.

ALL ABOUT AL stayed on when fourth over 1000m last time. His last victory came on this course. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

STREET OUTLAW stayed on when third over 1200m last time. He should have finished closer as he had to be switched for running room at the 100m mark. Richard Fourie may be able to get the best out of him.

Race 9

OKAVANGO followed up his maiden victory with a creditable fifth-place finish over this distance. He should have finished closer to the winner that day as he had no luck in running. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and if all goes according to plan, he can return to winning ways.

AZZURRI was outrun late when second over this distance last time. He is having his first run on this course and if suited, he should throw out a big challenge.

MASTER OF PARIS finished 0.3 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish
