Three of his four career victories have come over this distance. Rachel Venniker takes the 1.5kgs off his back which will assist his cause. The 6yo gelding can return to winning ways.
MASK ON rallied late when second over this C&D last time. He finished 1.5 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. He is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
RHYTHM finished 2.1 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may battle to turn the form around.
Race 3
CARNIVAL PARK ran on from last when fifth over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The son of Soqrat will be at home over 1600m. He jumps from pole position and with S’manga Khumalo retaining the ride, he should have more to come.
MVELELO returns from a lengthy 30-week break. His form prior to that outing was decent. If not in need of the run, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
GOT THE WORD had excuses in his last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. His first two career outings were fair. The son of Global View will love the rise to 1600m and there should be improvement to come.

LANDSEER raced from a handy position over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time and rallied late to finish second. The son of Lancaster Bomber is a progressive type and from pole position, he can go one better.

FIRE FORCE has fair recent form lines to his name. He finished 0.2 lengths behind the top choice, three runs ago. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
RAINBOW OF ROSES has fair recent form lines to her credit. She is drawn wide but gets the services of S’manga Khumalo who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle. On best form shown, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

MIKE’S MAZARIN shed his maiden tag at the second time of asking over 1750m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. It must be noted that Burning Man has come out and won with ease since. The son of Futura is a progressive type and will love the rise to 2000m. He does take a rise in class but from his good draw of two, he should be up to the task at hand.
GLOBAL MOVEMENT stayed on when fourth over this C&D last time. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. He takes a drop in class and is one of the leading contenders.
