Race 1
MC DAZZLER has been a tad disappointing in his last two starts. He has finished second twice from as many starts over this C&D. On best form shown, he may be the one to beat.

GALACTUS ran a fair race over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. The son of One World tries the 1400m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can finish in the placings.
Race 2
DECEPTION PASS hails from the visiting Mike and Adam Azzie stable. He should have finished closer to the winner last time as he hung inwards in the final 250m. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. If all went well with his travels, he may be the one to beat.
TERIYAKI has consistent form lines to his credit. He was running on when third over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. With a bit of luck from his awkward draw of nine, he should be competitive.
ISIKWISHIKWISHI ran a fair race on debut over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He would have come on from the run and will love the rise to 1400m. The son of Alado should make the natural progression.
Race 3
BURNING MAN has finished second in his last three starts, the latest of which was over 1750m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The son of Fire Away tries this C&D for the first time and if suited, he should be the one to beat in this field.
BELLA’S PABLO raced from a handy position over 1950m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time but found one too good in the form of French Trip. He finished second in his penultimate run on this course. He is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.
JUPITER HILLS finished 2.7 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
Race 4
PIRATE PRINCE finished 2.1 lengths behind ZAKHO last time. He is 7kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. From his good draw of two, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
ZAKHO should have finished closer last time as he hung inwards in the final 300m. He won his only attempt over this C&D. He will be at peak fitness and if keeping on a straight line, he should be right there.
INDLAMU’S last two starts over shorter have been fair. He continues to drop in the ratings and if all went well with his travels, he can finish in the placings.
Race 5
LINGANOMORE rallied late when second over 1800m on the Vaal Classic course last time. She takes a drop in class and may be the one to side with. She is carded to race on 8 August 2024 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.
MYSTIQUE ROUGE set the pace over 1600m last time, but found one too good in the form of Green Valkyrie. She is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back. She is carded to race on 7 August 2024 and her progress in that race will need to be followed.
ENGLISH PRIMROSE ran a fair race over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. From her good draw of three, she can feature.
Race 6
SECRET RECIPE won a good race in her last start over 1500m on the Turffontein Inside course. She returns from a well-deserved 10-week break. The daughter of Pomodoro takes a drop in class and should give the males a run for their money.
ZOOMBOMBER tried hard when third over 1800m last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He has finished second twice from as many starts over this C&D. He is carded to race on 8 August 2024 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.
L’ULTIMO finished 0.9 lengths behind BALLY MAGIC last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
Race 7
PREEMPTIVE STRIKE stayed on when fourth over 1400m on this course last time. He has won four times, finished second once and third twice from 12 starts over this C&D. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his awkward draw of seven and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
MAR DEL PLATA has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He has cracked a good draw of two and is one of the leading contenders.
KNIGHT WARRIOR’S last three starts have been good. Four of his seven career victories have come over this C&D. With luck in running, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 8
MAC HARDY showed good signs of a form return when second over 1200m on this course last time. He was unlucky that day as he was baulked for running room between the 400m mark and 200m mark. It is encouraging that Tristan Godden retains the ride and if not in need of this outing, he may be the one to beat.
VISION OF WILL finished 0.8 lengths behind DRIVE BY last time. She is 5.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. From pole position, she should give the males a run for their money.
FATE OF FORTUNE stayed on when third over 1400m on this course last time. The drop to 1000m is a slight concern but he has the ability to fight out the finish
