DONT JUDGE ran a fair race on debut over 1000m, against winners. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The son of Rafeef will love the extra furlong on offer and should make the natural improvement.

GOT THE WORD received a bump leaving the start on debut but stayed on to finish fourth. The son of Global View will be at home over 1200m and he should make the natural progression.

Race 2

IZIBULO ran on well when second over 1800m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber should be ideally suited to 1600m. Richard Fourie retains the ride and from her good draw of two, she can go one better.

GRAND OCCASION stayed on when third over 1400m last time. The daughter of Danon Platina should love the rise to the mile and she is one of the leading contenders.

FORWARD MOTION ran a fair race in the Listed Hollywoodbets Super League Devon Air Stakes last time. She is back in Maiden Company and should love the rise to the mile. The daughter of Pathfork can improve to finish in the placings.

Race 3

RHYDIAN has finished second in his three career outings to date. He is better than his last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. The son of Rafeef is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. If suited to this course, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

VIEW OF THE WORLD finished 2.55 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.

INGQWELE ran a fair race in his last start over this distance at Turffontein. The son of Fire Away is a progressive type and can finish in the placings.

Race 4

HURRICANE CAT showed good improvement when second in her last start over this C&D. She showed good speed and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Var is a progressive type and she can go one better.

EDGE OF TOMORROW finished 0.7 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

RUBY RISING showed improvement in her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She is a progressive type and may have more to come.

Race 5

DAPPER is lightly raced with good form lines to his credit. He should have won his last start as he hung inwards in the final 400m. The son of Lancaster Bomber should love the rise to 1600m. With a bit of luck from his awkward draw of eight, he should be the one to beat.

LANDSEER finished 0.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1kg worse off at the weights and may have to settle for the same result.

FLYINGCOOL has finished third in his last three starts. He gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep his mind on the task at hand. He jumps from a good draw of two and merits healthy respect.

Race 6

THAT’S MY BABY was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. She lost a length leaving the start and got up where it matters most. She is in a good space and if not too far out of her ground turning for home, she can follow up.

SOVEREIGN GRANT ran a creditable race when fourth in her last start over 1600m. She has won once and finished second once from three starts over this distance. Despite her big mass of 63kgs, she cannot be ignored.

ZINIKELE won a good race in her last start over this distance on the Polytrack. Her record on this course is a concern but she is in a good space and must be included in all bets.

Race 7

PHILISPIEL showed good speed over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time, but found one too good in the form of Donquerari. He has won three times, finished second twice and third twice from nine starts over this C&D. He takes a drop in class and can go one better with Rachel Venniker back in the saddle.

TRAFALGAR SQUARE fought hard in his last start, but found one too good in the form of Intrepid. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

CHARA SANDS finished 1.4 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.

KHETHIWE’S DESTINY was an easy winner of her last start over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course. The daughter of Buffalo Bill Cody takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

MAGGIE SMITH stayed on when second over 1000m last time. She has won twice and finished second three times from six starts on this course. She runs well for Richard Fourie and is one of the leading contenders.

SPIRITED FLIGHT won a good race in her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. She received a three-pound penalty for that victory. She is in a good space and with just 53.5kgs on her back, she can go close
