BettingDiaryThe English Premier League season is drawing to a close and there is a full round of midweek fixtures starting with 4 games on Tuesday where we suggest a bet in each.

MANCHESTER UNITED v FULHAM

Manchester United are 2nd on the log, but have not yet guaranteed to finish there although a victory in this game would wrap it up. They are coming off back-to-back home defeats against Liverpool and Leicester. Good news for them though is that they face a Fulham side that has been relegated and is in awful form and has just 1 point from the last 24 they have played for. Their last game was a 3-1 away defeat at Southampton.

Manchester United 7/20

Draw 17/4

Fulham 29/4

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 9/10

I think United will win this, but they have looked suspect at the back of late and Fulham could also get on the score sheet. This bet would have arrived in 4 of the last 5 head-to-head meetings between the sides.

SOUTHAMPTON v LEEDS

Southampton are 14th on the table and they host 10th placed Leeds with both sides coming off back-to-back victories. In Southampton’s case they were home wins over Fulham and Crystal Palace while Leeds beat Burnley 4-0 on the road last time out and previously beat Tottenham 3-1 at home.

Leeds won the reverse fixture 3-0.

Southampton 17/10

Draw 28/10

Leeds 15/10

Suggested Bet: Correct Score, 2-2 at 9/1

I was looking at the goals markets here, but bookmakers have seeing it coming and over 2.5 goals is as short as 9/20 with 11/10 over 3.5 goals, just a bit too short to tempt me. I will take a speculative play on the 2-2 draw.

BRIGHTON v MANCHESTER CITY

Brighton are 17th on the log and safe from relegation. Their last game was a 1-1 draw at home to West Ham, but they have only won 1 of their last 6 matches.

Manchester City have been crowned Champions and they did beat Newcastle 4-3 away in an absolute thriller on the weekend. City only edged Brighton 1-0 in the reverse fixture, but last season put an aggregate of 9 goals past Brighton without reply.

Brighton 11/2

Draw 7/2

Manchester City 5/10

Suggested Bet: Correct Score, Brighton 0, Manchester City 2 at 23/4

There is no doubt that City is capable of running away with this, but with the big European final just around the corner, I am expecting a workmanlike victory and I am going with a 2-0 score line.

CHELSEA V LEICESTER

These sides met in the FA Cup Final on the weekend with Leicester winning 1-0 to lift the Cup. This game has serious significance for both sides as well as Liverpool in 5th place behind them on the log.

Leicester are currently 3rd, 2 points ahead of Chelsea in 4th with both sides having 2 games left to play. Chelsea’s last League action was a 1-0 home loss to Arsenal, but prior to that they had won 3 matches in a row including a 2-1 win at Manchester City,

Leicester beat Manchester United 2-0 away in their last League outing and that win broke a run of 2 games and sorry to say that win came after taking only 1 point from their previous 6. Both teams have found the back of the net in Leicester’s last 4 League games.

Chelsea 15/20

Draw 27/10

Leicester 4/1

Suggested Bet: The draw at 27/10

Both sides will have to lift themselves for this clash and both will be desperate for the 3 points, but at the same time determined not to lose and I think we could have the points shared.
