He raced from a prominent position over 1000m at Turffontein last time, but found one too good in the form of Easy Tiger. The son of Act Of War is a progressive type and if all went well with his travels, he should be the one to beat.

LIKE FIRE showed good improvement when fourth over 1000m on this course last time. He showed pace and stayed on at the finish. The son of Master Of My Fate is coming along the right way and should have more to come.

TREATY OF PARIS finished 3.7 lengths behind the second selection on debut. The son of Declarationofpeace would have gained from the experience and should make the natural improvement.

Race 2

ROYAL VICTORY received a bump leaving the start last time, but finished off his race strongly. The son of Pathfork will love the step up to 1950m. He is the class horse in this small field and should return to winning ways.

SILENT WAR was unlucky not to have won the Listed 4Racing Dr Richard Maponya Handicap last time. The 6yo gelding tries the 1950m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

SELUKWE finished 1.1 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result. He has won twice from three starts over this C&D and cannot be ignored.

Race 3

The tentative first selection is KWAGGA BLITZ from the visiting Clinton Binda stable. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in his last outing has come out and won since. The son of Captain Of All should have no issues with the rise to 1400m and with a bit of luck from his wide draw of ten, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

OWNER OF CREATION showed good improvement in his last start over 1200m on the polytrack. The son of Captain Of All is coming along the right way and from pole position, he is one of the leading contenders.

MASTER DU ROUVRAY ran a fair race over 1100m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He has scope and should enjoy the extra distance on offer. From his good draw of four, he would not be a shock winner.

Race 4

LIKE A PRAYER has improved in her last two starts with the tongue-tie fitted. The daughter of Danon Platina is coming along the right way and if all went well with her travels, she may be the one to beat in this field.

OUR LADY FATE has finished second in her last two starts. She was running on over 1200m last time. Tristan Godden retains the ride and should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

TAKATALVI rallied late when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

 

 

Race 5

IMPOSING finished 1.15 lengths behind TYRCONNELL last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won once, finished second once and third once from five starts over this C&D. If keeping on a straight line, he can return to winning ways.

TYRCONNELL is a winner of his last two starts over this C&D. He received a four-pound penalty for his last victory. The son of The United States is in a good space and can bring up the hat-trick.

BOWIE finished 2.35 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. From pole position, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 6

CONNOISSEUR set the pace over 1800m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time and stayed on to finish third. He finished third in his penultimate run over 1500m on this course. The son of Canford Cliffs has the pace to overcome the widest draw and he should be hard to peg back.

BEACH PALACE took on much stronger in his last start over 1400m on this course. He takes a drop in class, but carries a big mass of 64kgs. Muzi Yeni steps back into the saddle and he cannot be ignored.

ATTABOY is the stable companion of the second choice. He should have finished closer last time as he was switched for running room at the 250m mark. He will strip much fitter and cannot be ignored.

Race 7

HODGEPODGE was running on when second over this C&D last time. The daughter of Ideal World meets a similar line-up this afternoon and from her good draw of three, she should be the one to beat.

TOMYRIS moved up like a winner over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time, but was touched off by Ice Rain who has come out and won again since. She has won once and finished third twice from as many starts over this C&D. With a bit of luck from her wide draw of nine, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

RADU finished 2.3 lengths behind the top selection last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

Race 8

PRIZED PLATINUM hails from the visiting Clinton Binda stable. He stayed on when third over 1160m at Turffontein last time. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. If all went well with his travels, he may be the one to beat.

NOW I GOT YOU finished 3.5 lengths behind COTTON RON last time. He is 5.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

EL DRAQUE has decent consistent form lines to his name. He finished 2.2 lengths behind COTTON RON in the race referred to above. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

Race 9

AGRADO lost a length leaving the start last time, but the manner in which he ran on at the finish was encouraging. The son of Global View has plenty of scope and if getting away to a clean start, it would be no surprise to see him in the winner’s enclosure.

ALL THE TIME finished 0.8 lengths behind MAGMA MAGIC last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

MAGMA MAGIC followed up his maiden victory with a good second-place finish over this C&D. He meets a similar line-up and with Rachel Venniker retaining the ride, he should be competitive
