MADAME VICKI showed very good improvement when finishing second over 1160m at Turffontein last time. She raced from just off the pace, moved up well but was caught in the shadow of the post by Arilena. The daughter of Master Of My Fate is a progressive type and she can go one better here.

LOVE ME AGAIN is better than his last start over 1160m at Turffontein. He did not get off to the best of starts, but made up ground quickly to race on the speed before tiring late. His debut effort over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course was eye-catching. Gavin Lerena takes the ride and if jumping on terms, he should be the horse to beat.
Race 5: MASTER OF COIN (1)
Jockey: S Khumalo – Trainer: M Azzie
MASTER OF COIN challenged strongly in his last start over 1600m, but found one too good in the form of Electric Gold who has come out and won again since. He has finished second once and third once from as many starts on this course. The son of Byword tries the 2000m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can go one better.

Jockey: G Lerena – Trainer: D Nieuwenhuizen
BREAK POINT produced a promising debut effort over this C&D, four weeks ago. He raced from a handy position, was green in running but stayed on nicely at the finish. The son of Master Of My Fate would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating.

MISTY CLIFFS was not disgraced when finishing third against winners over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Canford Cliffs will enjoy the rise to 1400m and she is back in Maiden Company. With just 54.5kgs on her back, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure
