Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 2: ABOVE THE WORLD (5)
Jockey: M van Rensburg – Trainer: C Spies

ABOVE THE WORLD ran a good race against winners over this C&D last time. She showed good speed, but was caught late by Wings Of Nike. The daughter of Captain Of All runs well on this course and back in Maiden Company, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

Race 3: RAVEN BLACK (13)
Jockey: K Matsunyane – Trainer: B Crawford

RAVEN BLACK produced a promising debut effort over 1100m at Turffontein against winners. He found plenty of betting support that day which suggests that he was showing good work at home. He returns from a 16-week break/suspension and if not in need of the run, he should be the horse to beat.

Race 4: GREENLIGHTRANGER (11)
Jockey: M Yeni – Trainer: C Lensley

GREENLIGHTRANGER ran a very good race on debut over 1600m on this course. She was reported to be lame on her right hind. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should take a power of beating.

Race 5: JAIMALA (5)
Jockey: R Munger – Trainer: A Fortune

JAIMALA was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1800m on the Turffontein Inside course. He finished 0.1 lengths behind RAISEAHALLELUJAH in his penultimate effort. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He won his only attempt on this course and is the horse to beat.

Value Bet For Today

Race 6: LULU’S BOY (1)
Jockey: J Penny – Trainer: J Roux

LULU‘S BOY showed some signs of a form return in his last start over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course. He has won once and finished second once from four starts over this C&D. The 6yo gelding takes a drop in class and may be hard to peg back
