Race 1
TRIPPI T has finished second in his last three starts. He showed good speed over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time, but found one too good in the form of Chieftain. He meets the right field and if not in need of this outing, he may be hard to peg back.
HELSINKI had excuses in his last start over 1400m on the turf. He returns from an 11-week break, which may have done him the world of good. He has placed over this distance and is one of the leading contenders.
BOMBER STREAM was disappointing in his last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He gets the blinkers re-fitted and with the services of Richard Fourie, he can place.
Race 2
FASHION MISTRESS finished 1.7 lengths behind ZULULANGA last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Calvin Habib is likely to use her early gate speed to overcome the wide draw and she may be hard to peg back.
PANTEA finished 1.4 lengths behind ZULULANGA in the race referred to above. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them at the finish. If keeping on a straight line, she should be involved.
ZULULANGA won a good race in her last start over this C&D, under 4kgs claiming apprentice Brevan Plaatjies. She meets a similar line-up this afternoon and merits healthy respect.
Race 3
VOLDEMORT lost a length leaving the start last time and stayed on to finish third. It must be noted that Common Grounds has come out and won again since. He has won twice, finished second once and third twice from ten starts over this distance. If getting away to a clean start, he can notch up his fifth- career victory.
LICENCE TO THRILL is better than his last start without the blinkers fitted. He finished 0.05 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
PARMENION is better than his last start at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He won a good race over 1400m on this course in his penultimate start. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and he will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 4
TIN CUP should have won his last start as he hung outwards in the final 350m. He finished 0.7 lengths behind TOM’S ACT that day and is 1.5kgs better off at the weights. That should be enough for the tables to be turned. If keeping on a straight line, he should be hard to peg back.
SAN MARZANO finished 0.5 lengths behind TOM’SACT last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and should turn the form around. The son of Pomodoro will be doing his best work at the finish.
TOM’S ACT won a good race in his last start over 1900m on this course. He raced from a handy position and kept finding all the way to the line. He is in a good space and must be included in all bets.
Race 5
WYATT’S CHOICE was settled near the rear of the field last time and stayed on strongly to finish third. The son of Global View has a good turn of foot and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can return to winning ways.
RICCARDO was not disgraced when 3.1 lengths behind Flag Man last time. Flag Man has come out and finished second in a Grade 1 since. If finding the form of his penultimate run, he should pose a massive threat to the top choice.
MASTER OF DESTINY has shown some signs of a form return in his last two starts. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to 1800m. Craig Zackey is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
Race 6
PURPLE FLOWER followed up her maiden victory with a decent fifth-place finish over 1400m on this course. She was settled at the rear of the field and ran on well at the finish. The daughter of Time Thief should enjoy the rise to the mile and she may be the one to side with.
GREEN VALKYRIE showed good improvement in her first run for the Kumaran Naidoo stable. She ran on well but found one too good in the form of Miss Paget. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight will strip a much fitter horse today and she can go one better.
GLOBAL SECRET has fair recent form lines to her name. Two of her three career victories have come on this course. She takes a drop in class and can finish in the placings.
Race 7
CYBER TIME is better than his last start over 1900m on the turf. He has won four times from seven starts over this distance. He jumps from a good draw of three and on best form shown, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
DYNALLEY stayed on when third in his last start over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will enjoy the rise to 1600m. He is the stable elect with Craig Zackey in the saddle and can feature.
KUMEMORI was an easy winner of his last start over 1400m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He runs well for Richard Fourie and can go close.
Race 8
SPACE COWBOY should have finished closer to the winner last time as he was baulked for running room between the 250m mark and 150m mark. He has won twice from three starts over this C&D. He would have come on from his last outing and should strip much fitter. With luck in running, he should be the one to beat.
BALLY MAGIC’S last two starts have been good. Serino Moodley is likely to use his early gate speed and he may be hard to peg back.
POLITICAL PARTY is better than his last two starts at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The son of Master Of My Fate takes a drop in class and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, he should find a form return
