what a card on saturday!! best i've seen for a long time. the green point should be a grade 1!
green point - NATIVE RULER @ 16/1 ew.
i think this is a nice bit of ew value. hoping to possibly get bigger from my bookies when they price up. went into my note book after a good run from well off the pace in the july, and easy win last time out when looked to be a bit undercooked.
guineas - VAPOUR TRAIL @ 14/1 ew. marshall is deadly with his 3yr olds and i liked the last win, showed versatility as can win from front and also go well from off the pace. half-brother to one-stripe, maybe not as classy but think this is the value in field.

Saturday provides some good racing from Kenilworth and have decided to get my fancies in early .
Race 1
2 year olds get us started with some having run once and the rest first timers, I really like the look of OMKHULU BOSS on breeding and if there market support I'll be following.
Race 2
An open maiden , ROCKANROLLIN drops down from 1800m to the straight 1200 , huge money for him last time when disappointing , I'll give him another chance over the sprint.
Race 3
AZZURRI is my first selection in a tough race .
Race 4
The light weight fillies should hold the edge here and I'm liking SWIATEK as my first choice from KAMCHATKA.
Race 5
Really tough race with a number of weight turnarounds and horses not sure to be match fit just yet . Seriously have no feel .
Race 6
A number of this runners will have to be trusted on fitness and the betting market should help us with that , FIRE ATTACK had a great sprint up last time in Joburg but comes from a stable that seldom travels and therefore comes with doubt despite being my first selection., he's also drawn wide. Chances to Sail the Seas and Native Ruler.
Race 7
GIMMIE RULES is the one to beat and my best of the day. GOOD FOR YOU is a good one to follow but he's drawn wide and might have had a little too much racing.
Race 8
ZEITZ was most disappointing last time out but I'm inclined to give him another chance
Race 9
The Bass stable has been inconsistent this season and I'm leaning only just towards KING'S QUEST as my get out jail hero in the last

My plays for Kenilworth on Saturday,
Race 1: Each way nibble and nothing more at Rockslide, yard has been going great, first timer comments in Comptaform positive enough to suggest could go well so 25/1 seems big enough
Race 2: Very much with Coil on Rockinganrolinn, I like them coming back in trip and though this drop looks a bit extreme the maiden form looks by far the best in the race and I'm thinking the stable would have waited for a race over further if they thought it was going to be an issue.
Race 3: Green Planet, my Hail Mary for the day at 50/1. MR has been on the slide, hasn't threatened for a while now but on some much earlier form lines and weight turnarounds would have a squeak if recapturing best
Race 4: Great race but can't settle on anything as yet, the ones I like are giving a lot of weight, might sit this one out or play very late
Race 5: Raven Black at around 4/1, was looking for ages for a big price runner and quite a few candidates but this one is 3/3 over 1200m, was unlucky last time against a couple of these when lost 3 lengths and peak run now
Race 6: Questioning 16/1, worry about the draw but not as concerned about being upped to 1600m after scooting up over 1400 last time, just whether they can get tactics right from that gate. Could also see the filly Mon Petit Cherie running into the money at would should be decent enough place odds.
Race 7: I really like Jan Van Goyen, think the form on offer is superior by some distance, ? comes with the trip from Gauteng and first time going the other way round but reckon MdK is the man for the job in terms of being on top of those factors.
Race 8: Regulation hard to beat if all goes well but will go each way La Pulga at around 16/1, up in trip to a more suitable distance now, Sean Veale took the ride last time and looks like he has opted for the stable mate but I think / hope LP is better suited to the 1800
Race 9: With Coil again, well sort of as I'll side the the other Bass Robinson horse Marcus Aurelius at around 8/1. Only 4 runs, won the last 2, going gradually up in trip for those wins and steps up to the mile today which I think will suit. Lerena up and after only 4 runs think there could still be some blue sky in the merit rating.

Thanks Chris and coil. I’m maxed on time so just this to add for now -
K4 GIVE ME EVERYTHING @ 10/1 ew. Really like this one go blossom as a 4yr old. Always liked it and Lerena up a big positive.

Native ruler blown out to 25/1 and despite drift I have to have a nibble at that price.
added race 5 DANCE VARIETY 20/1 ew, just feels too big on last run to favourite.
