ANGEL OF MY HEART hails from the visiting Corrie Lensley stable. She ran a fair race when fourth over this distance at the Vaal last time. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight gets the blinkers fitted which should keep her mind on the task at hand. If getting away to a clean start, she can win a race of this nature.

ELUSIVE BELLE finished 0.25 lengths behind HURRICANE FLIGHT last time. She is 5.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. If keeping on a straight line, she should pose a massive threat.

HURRICANE FLIGHT has shown improvement in her last two starts. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Race 5

TRUSOVA has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He stayed on when fourth over 2400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He drops to 2000m and the blinkers have been re-fitted. With a bit of luck from his wide draw of 11, he can return to winning ways.

LAKE COMO is better than his recent form suggests. He has won twice and finished third three times from eleven starts over this C&D. The 6yo gelding has dropped in the ratings. He jumps from pole position with Athandiwe Mgudlwa aboard and may be the one to cause the upset.

BOM BOM won a good race in his last start over 1600m on the Polytrack. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The blinkers have done the trick on the son of Ideal World. With a bit of luck in running, he should be competitive.

RAFIKI got up late when winning his last start over this distance on the Polytrack. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. He would have come on from the run and merits healthy respect.
